But, but, but - there's nothing by G.B. Shea, or the Gaithers, or, or even any hymns at all . . . .

;-P

Slightly more seriously, though not much more :). You hit several of my favorities. Nice list.

Mike

Steve,

Sarah Brightman must be some talent, if she can make a Simon and Garfunkle song (Scarborough Fair) sound like the Beatles! While we're on the Beatles what about "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" classic George Harrison with Eric Clapton on guitar.

Rick

[Good catch there, Rick. Don't know what I was thinking. Did that too late at night, I guess. I changed it in the post, so it no longer says she's doing a Beatles song. -- Steve]

Take My Breath Away??!!??

OK, now I've lost all respect for you!

That song was a hit in the height of my top 40 radio DJ days. When I hear the first five notes, I have been known to run screaming from the room. And that's dangerous when I'm driving...

About Me

Steve DennieCareer-wise, I've been hanging around and writing about and cheering on churches and pastors for the past 25 years as my denomination's Communications Director.
My posts stray into sports, politics, movies, and other nonsense. But the continuing thread is serving God faithfully through the local church.
I've been blogging since 2004, and it's been fun. Please understand that, though I work for the United Brethren in Christ denomination, the nonsense I spew out here comes from my own semi-functional brain in a totally personal, non-official capacity. Yes, that's a disclaimer.
